My love for photographs began long before I became a professional photographer. Growing up, I spent hours sitting on the floor surrounded by boxes of family photographs - prints from trips, everyday moments, professional portraits, and photos mailed between relatives. My grandparents documented everything. My grandfather rarely went anywhere without a camera, and because of that, our family history lives on in tangible form. Those images were held, revisited, and passed down, shaping my deep appreciation for photography as a way of preserving connection and legacy.
Motherhood later transformed that appreciation into purpose. I am a mother to both a teenager and a toddler, and having lived through such different seasons of motherhood, I understand just how quickly time moves. During my own pregnancies and newborn days, I didn’t have professional maternity or newborn photographs taken. I didn’t have heirloom albums to return to or artwork on the walls reflecting those early years. That absence became the turning point that led me to pursue motherhood, newborn, and family photography professionally so that other mothers could have the photographs I wished I had.
Today, I specialize in maternity, newborn, milestone, and family photography, offering a calm, studio-based experience rooted in connection and emotion. I am based in Dothan, AL and serve Dothan, Enterprise, Fort Rucker, and Southeast Alabama families. My sessions are intentionally unhurried and thoughtfully guided, with hands-on planning, curated client wardrobe options, and gentle prompts that allow natural moments to unfold. I focus on emotion, movement, and interaction rather than stiff posing, creating images that feel honest, timeless, and deeply personal.
At the heart of my work is a commitment to creating photographs that live beyond a screen. Heirloom albums and fine-art artwork are an essential part of the experience, because your family’s story deserves to be printed, held, and returned to year after year. I guide you through every step of designing your artwork, from selecting frames, mats, and album covers to planning custom gallery walls that fit your home and your story. For wall art ordered through me, I also offer professional installation so your images don’t sit in a box or wait for “someday,” but are displayed and enjoyed right away.
