When Langston’s mama mentioned she was thinking about a cowboy theme for his first birthday, I immediately knew that a session with Jaq the calf would be an absolute hit. There’s something so endearing about a baby in cowboy gear, and Jaq added that extra touch of charm that made the session truly memorable. The idea of a rustic, farm-style birthday portrait was just perfect, and we couldn’t wait to see Langston in his adorable outfits.

Mama dressed Langston in three different denim ensembles, each more precious than the last. The tiny cowboy boots and hat were the stars of the show, making him look like the cutest little ranch hand you’ve ever seen. To add to the theme, I brought along my wooden rocking horse, which Langston wasn’t quite sure about! Jaq’s owner provided to cow hide and it was a great final touch! Langston’s adorable cow cake was made by Tiffany of Richly Sweet, in Enterprise, Alabama.
