Every newborn is different — and every session moves at your baby’s pace.

As both a mother and an experienced newborn photographer, safety and comfort are always my highest priorities. From the moment you step into the studio, you’ll find a calm, carefully prepared environment where every detail is handled with intention. I follow gentle safety practices throughout each session — including sanitizing props and surfaces, washing hands frequently, and maintaining a clean, peaceful space. Masks are always welcomed upon request, and your comfort level will always guide the experience.

All wrapping and posing are approached slowly and naturally, never forcing a position that doesn’t feel safe or comfortable for your baby. While I occasionally incorporate simple props like baskets or newborn beds, my focus always remains on your baby — never on elaborate setups or distractions.

My styling leans toward soft neutrals and muted tones, with at least one timeless white set for every session. Each baby is gently wrapped and photographed against my signature white bed and backdrops, along with lifestyle-inspired poses that include family connection whenever possible.

My studio is a space where you can relax, trust the process, and simply enjoy these first quiet moments with your baby.

Newborn sessions blend soft styling with real connection.

When to schedule your newborn session

The ideal time for newborn photography is typically within the first two weeks after birth, when babies are naturally sleepy and curled.

However, there is no strict deadline — older newborns and lifestyle-style sessions are always welcome and can be just as meaningful.

Most families reach out during pregnancy to reserve space on my calendar.

Frequently Asked Questions

Nope! Everything is thoughtfully prepared for you so the experience feels simple and stress-free.

Upon booking, you’ll receive my handwritten Newborn Session Guide, which walks you through styling in a way that feels effortless and cohesive. Inside, you’ll find detailed suggestions for dressing dad, along with guidance for moms and siblings if you choose not to use pieces from my client wardrobe.

My styling approach leans toward soft neutrals and timeless textures that keep the focus on your baby rather than elaborate props or busy colors. I provide carefully selected wraps, layers, and simple heirloom pieces designed to photograph beautifully together.

Of course, if you have a meaningful keepsake — a handmade blanket, heirloom outfit, or special item you’d love to include — you are always welcome to bring it. We’ll incorporate it gently so it feels natural and true to your story.

Absolutely. Newborn sessions are designed to celebrate your growing family, and parent and sibling images are some of the most meaningful moments we create together.

Before your session, you’ll receive a detailed newborn session guide that walks you through exactly what to expect — including how sibling and family photos are incorporated into the flow of the day. This guide outlines when sibling portraits are typically photographed and offers helpful suggestions for what to do afterward while baby is photographed safely in their solo setups.

Because little ones have shorter attention spans, sibling images are usually captured early in the session while everyone feels fresh and relaxed. Many families choose to have another parent or helper take siblings for a snack break, outdoor play, or quiet time once their portion of the session is complete, allowing the studio to remain calm while we focus on baby.

The Petite newborn session is created specifically for baby-only portraits, while my Classic newborn sessions and membership collections include parent and sibling images for a more complete storytelling experience.

It’s completely normal for newborns to need extra time, cuddles, or feeding breaks — and my entire approach is designed with that in mind.

Before your session, I send gentle newborn preparation tips to help you create a calm, sleepy environment for baby ahead of your arrival. Once you’re in the studio, I use safe, cozy wrapping techniques that create a comforting swaddle effect, helping babies feel secure and relaxed throughout the session.

The studio is kept warm and peaceful, with soft white noise or gentle shushing sounds to mimic the familiar rhythm babies are used to. For Classic sessions and membership clients, I reserve the studio for a three-hour block so there’s never any pressure to rush. This allows plenty of time for feeding, soothing, diaper changes, or simply pausing when baby needs a moment.

Every session moves at your baby’s pace — because their comfort always comes first.
